Until 2021, admission in most of the courses at Delhi University undergraduate level were on the basis of class 12th board marks . A few courses used to prefer DUJAT for admission and popularly known as "entrance based courses". A less known meta college concept courses also function in Delhi University at Cluster Innovation Center ( CIC), however this center offers only 2 courses at Undergraduate level.
Recently released NCRB report on suicide among students, professional, daily wage earner, housewife, unemployed person etc shows gloomy picture of state. A high rise in such cases has been reported in pandemic time. Unfortunately mental health has never been as prime a concern as physical health.According to the latest data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), suicides in India rose 10 per cent from 2019 to an all-time high of 1,53,052 in the pandemic year of 2020. More severe issue is that student suicides see the highest percentage increase at 21.20 per cent increasing from 10,335 in 2019 to 14,825 in 2020. Students suicide share went up from 7.4 per cent to 8.2 per cent.
